Overcooked 2 is a fun sequel to the original Overcooked game that now lets you play in a range of different kitchens. The new levels and challenges make this a fun game for any age player.

Released in August of 2018, Overcooked 2 is one of the newest kitchen simulation games around. The PC version features the same levels and characters as all other versions for consoles do. Though the original Overcooked only let you work in a sushi restaurant, Overcooked 2 features many different restaurants. As you work your way through each level, you'll unlock new restaurants and new dishes that you can cook.

When you start a new game, Overcooked 2 puts you right in the center of the kitchen. As orders come, you must maneuver your chef around the kitchen to prepare all those ingredients and then put them together to make the final dish. It can take a few minutes and a few levels before you feel comfortable handling all those tasks.

Though the gameplay might sound basic, this game is actually quite challenging. Instead of just simply asking you to cook, it constantly throws new obstacles in your way. In the co-op levels, you must figure out how to get around the cramped kitchen without anyone getting in your way. You might find yourself frustrated at just how easily those other characters can block your path.

The further you advance within the game, the more challenges you'll face. Some levels actually feature fires that break out in the kitchen and limit where you can go. As you cannot go through the fire or put it out, you need to decide what to do to make your dishes and get them out. Other levels feature walkways that actually move and can prevent you from going in the right direction. You'll also find obstacles such as portals that drop you into a brand new part of the level.

If you love simulation multiplayer games, you'll like that Overcooked 2 allows you to go online and play with friends. When you select this option, you can build your own team that consists of four people and compete in challenges with each other. Fans of the original game will also like the new characters and costumes found in this one.

One of the only issues with this game is that the cut scenes go on for just a little too long. Those scenes do add to the story though and help set up each level. Fans of any cooking simulation game who want to play online and with friends will enjoy Overcooked 2.
